The Interior Plantscaper Association (IPSA) was founded in 1982. This organization encourages interior plantscapers to develop ideas and network in an attempt to establish standards as well as produce a general code of ethics for its members. Since 1982, membership has increased from 6 to 27 companies and includes all main contractors, consultants and suppliers in the industry. An executive committee meets on a monthly basis to deal with the day to day administration of IPSA.

IPSA is committed to the improvement of professionalism, standards, quality of design, installation and maintenance of interior plantscapes. As a trade association it is responsive to the needs of its members in order to:

• Lobby governmental agencies
• Provide technical information and support
• Offer mediation services
• Encourage the development of career structures within the industry
• Provide training and educational support
• Officiate the Awards of Excellence, where interior plantscape projects are judged in terms of quality, service standards and innovation. Contractors are rewarded with certificates of merit (gold and silver) for entries which achieve the highest standard of workmanship and service.

All IPSA members are subject to rigorous vetting procedures which is the client’s guarantee that a member company is both reputable and professional.
